Google Drones

Google is branching out their company with drones. This has not yet made progress to the company itself but they are testing the drones for use.the drones are called unmanned aerial vehicles, called UAVs, they safely carried out more than 30 test flights this month, transporting an assortment of goods including chocolate bars, a water bottle, radios, a first aid kit, dog treats and a cattle vaccine one kilometer. This is said to help in case of emergencies whenever there is traffic and someone is in need of supplies. The google drone wouldn't have to wait through traffic or anything holding it back. Supplies and medicine would be on time all the time.

My opinion on this is that google drones is a wonderful and very smart idea, but i do believe that this would take a lot of time and a lot of money to make it actually happen. This would be better in case of emergencies and could possibly save many peoples lives one day. But as of right now i don't see it spreading out fast without putting a lot of time and effort into doing so, although in the future i do believe that google drones can become a very very smart way to transport goods and medicine in between busy distances and to have more control over what happens.

Index Page Before
Index Page After

Codey's Index Home Page...

The page before anyone had told me to do anything else. The colors were a little off with the text compared to the background and compared to everything else going on. I was still using some default text inside the content. also you couldn't regularly tell what links were links or weather it was just a title or not.

So in the second page i took the color of the links to be some of the same colors inside of the background of the page. then made all the old default text into custom text while making the obvious links more obvious that they are links and hovering over them will 'press' the link down. Then last and final of all i made the site a little more "simple" by making it to where you don't have to scroll done at all to see any of the page and then into more of a responsive site for Tablets and Cell Phones.

What was hard about this project???
I thought this project was a little hard just because of the fact you are judging other peoples work that you are with every single day and that you are friends with.

What i thought was fun about this project???
You learned a lot about what you did wrong on your website then had a chance to fix it and make it look better and also got judged by people that know you the best, so they know what you need to work on the most.

wayback machine

How popular websites have change over time using the "way back" machine...

What is the purpose of the Wayback Machine and the Internet Archive in general?
The wayback machines purpose is to show how technology has advanced over time and how much of a difference it might have made on some of the most popular websites out there.

What are they archiving, in addition to websites?
They are Archiving old information and "snapshots" closest to the time it was taken.

The well-in 1996

The Well

The well-Present Day

The Well website has changed ALOT in the time from 1996 to present day. In 1996 it did not have very much CSS if any at all. you can tell nothing is split up into any Divs or different groups and wasn't the best about organization. at present day The Well has groups and categories to be organized in and looks much neater than before.

Bing

Bing-in 2008

Bing-Present Day

Bing has also changed ALOT over time also... coming from no CSS and a very simplistic but non interesting design to a very colorful interactive design that catches your attention with more designs and no borings gaps or spaces like before in 2008.

NBC News

NBC News-in 2004

NBC News-Present Day

NBC News has changed over time too, not quite as drastically as some but some big changes are, in 2004 they had a lot more stuff going on with just the home page but it wasn't very organized at all. Present Day they decided to change it up by putting less stuff on the home page and organizing it into more links.

Alan Turing

Alan Mathison Turing was born in a nursing home in Paddington London on June 23rd and was a British mathematician, logician, cryptanalyst and computer scientist. He worked for Government code and Cypher School (GC&CS). Alan Turing is mainly known for Designing and was among the first designs for s stored-program computer. Then his work led to the Turing Machine that then became the basis of modern computing.

He was known as the founder of computer science, the originator of dominant technology in the late 20th century. He went to Cambridge University and Princeton University for Ph.D. Logic, algebra, number theory. His father Julius entered the Indian Civil service, serving in Madras presidency. The main connection to his last name (Turing) was related back to his brother with fly fishing that didn't have and relativity to Alan's work. Alan's story was not related back to any of his family relativities or traditions through there generation.

Alan and his brother John were foster kids and went from house to house in english homes that had no originality, expression, or discovery at all. science, math, and technology was Alan's "extra-curricular passion" that he just enjoyed doing on his own free time.

In 1952 when such acts with homosexuality was illegal. So Alan accepted the treatment of female hormone medication as an altercation to prison. This lead to his suicide in 1954, 16 days before his 42nd birthday, from cyanide poisoning. His mother and family just believed that it could have been an accidental death.

In May of 2012, a private member's bill was sent to the House Of Lords to grant Turing a statuary pardon. In July of 2013 it finally gained government support. But instead of calling for the second reading of the bill through the House of Commons, the government opted for a posthumous pardon under the Royal Prerogative of Mercy, which was signed on December 24th, 2013 with immediate effect.
